Event Details
Staffordshire's award-winning Staffs Fest, presented under the umbrella of local business LR Partnership Events, has been cancelled for 2020.

The self-funding family-orientated festival covers a multitude of music genres and features, among numerous other attractions, open-mic nights, jam sessions, a world music marquee and plenty of activities for visitors to enjoy, including yoga and drum workshops.

Commenting on the cancellation, Festival Director Lorraine Conkey said: “It is with much regret, sadness and a few tears that I have to announce that the fourth Staffs Fest will no longer be taking place this year, and will be postponed until 2021, Friday 28 to Sunday 30 May, Spring Bank Holiday.

"We hoped that the situation with the coronavirus would have improved enough by the end of May, but obviously it’s evident that we cannot continue with the event this year. It was the one decision I hoped we wouldn’t have to make and that we’d all be ‘back to normal’ by now, but of course we are not at that stage yet. The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, exhibitors, traders and staff is always our primary concern, and we thought rather than postpone until later in the year we would defer for the 12 months.

"We offer our sincere apologies to all involved, and I can assure you that we at Staffs Fest are equally as disheartened and disappointed. We have asked all the bands booked for 2020 to play in 2021, and we will still be championing local cancer support charity Terrible Titties & Other Bitties for this year.

"For those of you who have paid for a ticket pitch, we will automatically transfer to the rescheduled event in 2021. Alternatively, should you prefer a refund for the 2020 show, please contact us at admin@staffsfest.co.uk and we will arrange.

"We were so looking forward to welcoming you all to this year’s show, but sadly it is not meant to be. We plan to have the biggest and best Staffs Fest in 2021 and have decided to freeze the ticket prices too. Prices start at £15 with free camping included and under-16s going free with an accompanying adult.

"I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you all for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2021.”
