Christmas 2015 will see the launch of the Ice Rink & Winter Wonderland in Castle Park, Colchester from 27 November to 3 January in the grounds of the historic castle in Colchester. No more travelling to London to experience the excitement of an outdoor Ice Rink!
Colchester Ice Rink & Winter Wonderland not only includes an Ice Rink and a fairground but also a Winter Market.
The Winter Market will be the place to shop in Colchester and the surrounding towns this Christmas. With no town centre Christmas market in Colchester this year, the focus is very much on this wonderful new event.
Anticipated footfall is an amazing 60,000-70,000 and current Ice ticket sales are already at an incredible 2,600 and rising every day (entrance to park isn't ticketed).
We will be publicising this unique event not only to Colchester residents, but also to nearby towns utilising an extensive host of advertising opportunities and techniques. We're partners with Heart Radio - so will be heavily featured by them including a potential live broadcast for the breakfast show. We are also having positive conversations with local TV to broadcast from the site live on the launch night!
Would You Like To Have A Stall At Our Winter Market In One Of Our Iconic Germanic Style Chalets?
We will be looking to sell just 20-30 of these log cabin style purpose built chalet stalls around the Colchester Castle site and in addition we are looking at having just 10 traditional market carts.
The prices for these chalets are extraordinarily competitive from just £55.00 per day including VAT, but even so we are still offering generous discounts when you book more than one chalet as well as discounts for payment in advance. Recommend a fellow stallholder who subsequently signs up and receive a further discount!
Alongside the skating, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the fairground, listen to local choirs singing carols and relax and spend a few hours in the rink area, soaking up the atmosphere, so they’ll have plenty of time to visit you at the Winter Market.
