At the Crab Pot Model Shop we sell dolls house minatures and have recently been very busy designing and trialling 1:12th miniatures on our laser cutting machine.
We have started to get a growing number of customers who have come to us because of the Ooak (one of a kind) items we make.
Up until the laser cutter, these were hand sewn or card or polymer clay items but since launching the first laser cut items (the fret bed being the first), we have had requests for other non- related items as well.
As an example With Love From Rebecca makes silver jewellery, hand crafted bags and bunting and asked for wooden tags to be made to attach to items to give them an organic and homely feel. We have also had requests from Wedding organisers for table confetti in the shape of hearts with the initials and dates engraved on them.
We have been pleased to fulfil these requests and so we have launched our bespoke design and manufacturing service 'Crab Pot Designs'.
We are looking forward to meeting more crafting folk to see what ideas and challenges they can give us for this service.
