People often ask me who taught me to sew - I'm not sure anyone ever did! Sewing has always been a part of me although I did have the most amazing teachers in technique in my mum and grandma. All my clothes were handmade so it seemed completely natural that I should treat my dollies to the same handmade chic!

Out of this Janeyjonks Handcrafted grew, and continues to grow ....

Products & Services

I am a local Kent artisan, working with textiles to produce quirky, useful items to combine function with fun! I regularly attend vintage and retro events in Kent, East Sussex and Surrey as although my fabrics are primarily new, I work with those with fabrics with a strong retro vintage style. I am always on the look-out for something different and quirky and I am always very popular at Vintage events.

My main current ranges are gadget garments, make-up and wash bags, fantastic cushions, and a range of retro hair accessories. For the men I have a range of funky ties and braces also in my same quirky fabrics. I also have an optional small range of children's and adults clothing in vintage styles. my retro vintage horror fabric bags are currently very popular as are my Rockabilly style cotton polka dot shoe laces!

I work with 100% designer cotton delivered to a high standard.

Company Profile

I live in the heart of the ancient King's Wood in rural Kent, listening to the birds singing as I stitch (with a little bit of Radio 4 thrown in for variety).

and before you ask ... Janeyjonks is my family nickname, always has been and so my label says it all, "Janeyjonks Handcrafted".

I love to hear from fellow crafters and lovers of gorgeous fabric so do contact me - and I LOVE to make special pieces for customers, it gives me a real "skip in my step" when someone asks for a special style of fabric, or simply just has a hint of an idea, as a gift for a special someone.
