Fun Days & Family Fairs
The Donkey Derby, Family Fun-day and Dog Show takes place at the beautiful surroundings of Polesden Lacy and is jointly organised by the National Trust and Leatherhead & District Lions Club.

Parking and entrance to the house, gardens and the event is free for the day to the general public.

The last two events had to be cancelled due to Covid restrictions. This year’s event will be our seventh and with previous years producing average attendances of seven thousand people, the event offers the opportunity for retailers and craftsmen to sell their wares and charities and community groups to increase awareness of their cause and raise funds, The emphasis of the event is to provide a low cost day of entertainment for the whole family. As well as the Donkey Derby there will be many other attractions including a fun dog show, children's fair, bouncy castles, train rides, donkey rides, live bands, stalls selling a variety of products and many traditional family games with catering and refreshments available throughout the day.

Stall holders should note that card transactions may be compromised due to the poor quality, intermittent mobile signal in the grounds of Polesden Lacey, so traders should be prepared for cash-only transactions.
