Company Overview
My main objective in creating Araminta Luna is to create unique quality items at realistic prices which give pleasure to their recipients for many years. My influences are very eclectic, so expect shabby chic alongside goth, and basic with more experimental.

Products & Services
My creative skills include knitting, crocheting, sewing by both machine and hand, beaded jewellery and small scale weaving. I am planning to expand my skill base to include freeform knitting and crochet, needle felting, polymer clay sculpting among others. I am also looking to expand on my knitting and crochet skills, to try more colour work, Tunisian crochet and various other techniques, which will extend my creative range and goods produced.

I make a variety of items, but really enjoy knitting and crocheting dog coats. I hope to expand this range with fabric coats as well. Bags are also among my favourite makes as they can be made in such a variety of mediums and techniques, shapes and sizes. I like to include recycled/upcycled fabric in my work - this will always be stated in the item description.

The majority of the items I sell are readymade/as seen. I do however do bespoke/custom items where possible if requested. There is a large variety in what I produce, from bags to brooches, dog coats to collar charms, and much more between.
Prices for individual items will reflect the materials used and time to produce.
Company Profile
I have been a maker for most of my life, having been taught to knit and crochet by both my mother and grandmother from a young age. I learnt to sew at school and home and I made my own clothes in my late teens/early twenties. I also hand knit aran jumpers for my parents small business, which I really enjoyed as stitch patterns are my favourite thing to do. When my daughter was young, I made a lot of her clothing.
I worked in a haberdashery/yarn shop from 2006 - 2009 which was wonderful and responsible for a very large yarn stash I am still working through! Unfortunately I developed some painful problems with my elbows which affected my ability to do my job and so had to give it up.
Over the last few years I have taken part in a few short courses for jewellery making and sewing skills (hand) along with basic pottery as a learning partner for special needs adults which I have really enjoyed.
