Event Details
Tamfest is a unique celebration of Halloween and Heritage as the spirits of the past come alive for a weekend of fun and frights; drawing on Robert Burns infamous 18th century epic ˜Tam o Shanter. The festival is set to bring a Scottish twist to traditional Halloween activities, decor, and entertainment and were thrilled to be working alongside them.

One of the key areas that Popcorn Horror plans to bring the scares is a Halloween market with a few scary Scottish twists. A grotto and range of Tam o Shanters hellish characters will be taking centre stage, giving families an opportunity for fun photographs with these legendary beasts. Expect lots of witchy delights and horned demons to add spook to your Halloween photos!

As well as being great Halloween fun, the roaming mythical creatures also serve to highlight the work of independent artists and vendors within the market space. Taking place in Ayrs old Clydesdale Bank Building, the large market aims to bring a taste of Jack Skellingtons ˜Halloweentown to the locals.

This is a fantastic opportunity for artists, vendors and creators to exhibit and sell their spooky wares to a diverse crowd of attendees. The Tamfest festival receives media attention from major newspapers, and previous years festivals have seen over 10,000 attendees participating in the various activities. Other activities on offer to the public include music stages, workshops, parades, fire breathers, jugglers, stilt walkers, dance groups, and street poets “ all of which locals can access for free.

We are looking for a range of horror, Halloween or otherwise dark themed artists and vendors to participate in the Tamfest market. All types of art and wares are welcome, so long as it is spooky in nature. Full tables and half tables are available to rent, and applications are open. The tables are 6 foot, trestle tables “ with half tables being divided down the middle between two vendors. The market runs from 12.00-17.00, Sunday October 27th.
