IMPORTANT - THE EVENT IS IN TOWN Penistone Gala is happening on Saturday 28 August (11:30am to 6pm). But it will be very different this year. Unlike previous years, it will NOT be taking place on Penistone Showground. Instead, it is taking place in Penistone town centre, with most stalls being situated in and around Penistone Market Barn or at other designated zones in town.

WHAT IS THE EVENT LIKE? Thousands of people attend Penistone Gala each year making it a premier event in the Yorkshire calendar. It's a fun-packed family-friendly event run by local volunteers from Penistone Round Table, Scouts, Ladies Circle and other volunteers, together with Penistone Town Council. All profits raised by the Gala go towards local good causes and initiatives. This year there will be donkey rides, punch and judy and other activities for families to enjoy in/around the centre of Penistone itself.

WHAT STALLS DO WE WANT? This year's event is themed "Penistone by the Sea". We are asking if you can theme your stall to reflect this (dressing up, temporary names for products or your stall, etc). Also we'd like you to provide some promotional photos which we can use in our social media and press releases as well, please email these to the address below. We're sorry to say - we're not looking for food or drink stalls at this year's event. Instead, we've decided to support our local businesses who sell food and drink on the High Street.

WHAT'S THE PROCESS You are invited to apply for one of the trade pitches which we are making available in one of the zones in/around Penistone town centre on Saturday 28 August 2021. Pitches are NOT allocated on a first come first served basis. Each application is assessed on its own merit so please give as much information as possible. Preference will be given to stalls that reflect the "Penistone By The Sea" theme. We are also keen to support locally based businesses. We will notify you if your application is successful. Notification will be sent via email, please ensure your email details are correct. If you application is successful, you will need to make payment in full within 7 days, otherwise your application may be cancelled.
