Learn to create a traditional scalloped edge lampshade. From covering the frame to making the shade and adding trimmings. Some machine and hand sewing are required.
We supply a 12" scalloped edge empire lampshade frame. You will need to bring 1 metre of fabric.
Nothing too heavy or textured, flimsy or delicate. The fabric will be used on the bias, so please bear that in mind if you have a pattern. We have trimmings, but feel free to bring matching braid. Please bring pins, sewing scissors, a needle and matching thread.
Lampshade frame and some tools and materials provided. Tea & Coffee provided, please bring your lunch.

PLEASE NOTE: Lechlade Craft Barn is accessed via external stone steps and regrettably is not suitable for people with mobility issues. We run workshops at Millets Farm near Abingdon and the Cotswolds Discovery Centre near Northleach, both of which are accessible venues.
