Wakefield Council is proud to introduce its inaugural Food Glorious Food Market, which will be held in Wakefield city centre on Saturday, 24 June. We are currently looking to attract traders selling high quality local produce and scrumptious hot food to create a vibrant and varied market.

This market sits alongside the outdoor market against the picturesque backdrop of Wakefield Cathedral and within easy reach of car parks and public transport links. It is also close to the market hall and shopping centres.

There are a limited number of stalls available for this event and the trading times are 10am until 4pm. Stalls charges are £25 and catering pitches are £35.

Public Liability Insurance is mandatory for traders at all of our markets and must be for a minimum cover of £5 million per claim. A copy of your current insurance policy must be submitted with your application.

All food traders must be registered with the Environmental Health Department at their local authority and must provide a copy of their registration on application. Traders are required to achieve a minimum rating of 3* on their local authority rating scheme (i.e. FSA rating scheme or "Scores on the Doors").
