12TH ANNUAL RANSKILL AND TORWORTH SCARECROW AND VILLAGE FESTIVAL
Sunday 9th June
TORWORTH on the Sunday is famous for its Strawberry Cream Teas and fun dog show.
This year the event looks to be bigger and better than ever. Entry is free and there are FREE activities for the children including a Bouncy Castle, Face Painting and Sports. There will be a Climbing Wall, Pony Rides, Animal encounters with Nature Safari and have your photo taken with an Owl. Take aim with the Harworth Archers and learn to Save a Life with the Paramedics. Enter your dog into the Fun Dog Show or get free dog behavioural advice. There will be displays by the Bawtry Youth Theatre Group, Retford Gymnastics Display Team, Why not have a go at Line Dancing? Friends of Daneshill Lakes will be there together with a wide range of craft stalls making a great day out for the whole family. Jump on a Red London Bus (courtesy of Wilfreda Coaches) to tour the scarecrows.
